Fifties Dive

This is a stunning red, gold, and green gift for fifters! This small flower has a bright red color on the top and is made up of glass. It has two little leaves and a gold long stem. There is a clear holder at the bottom and compliments the rose perfectly. Next to it is a black, red, and yellowish box. My friend has this flower hanging in her amore and she loves to put this out as a center piece in her living room sometimes. This rose is absolutely beautiful!

It is no surprise that the 1950's did so bad with health in general. This is definitely their downfall in this era. The ways or actions they did to try and cure their patients seems so much like torture.  Some good examples are how they used to leave their patients in a solid big metal bathtub and physically lock them in, shocked them, did blind brain surgery, and more.  I read some articles saying they whipped these patients and were not taken care of in good conditions either.  In the 50's, it seemed that physical health was of toddler age but on the other hand they had to have experience to see what helps and does not help patients.  During the war era, many doctors or nurses had to cut off their patients legs and arms because they did not know who to stich them back up or get an infection out.  One thing about knowing all this information is that I feel so sorry for everyone in this era who had a serious physical or mental illness.  Some patients were t...

This alcohol glass is a small and clear gift for fifters! The whiskey glass is round and can carry a bunch of ice. It has a circular bottom and has a nice eye-catching print. This glass has the sentences, “1950 Vintage Limited Edition.” The cup can be used for pictures and it’s just a work of art to look at. My grandfather has a lot of these cups and puts them out on the table for holidays. I think it is great that he promotes safe drinking in his home.

In the 1950's they had a lot of educational videos and these were all about how a person should act and what you should attain from these.  These films were mostly for middle class people and the purpose was to teach kids the proper way to behave.  Unlike educational videos today they have a step by step guide on how to make a sandwich, have family time, what love is like and what feelings you go through trying to figure out if you are in love, and more.  In 2021, we have educational videos that are related to how fast food is made, the cold war, Hitler, Ted Talks, and more.  Our educational videos are not like the 50's ones where they have a guide that actually relates to everyday life hacks.  These videos are about telling children and adults who have not had talks or guidance about regular everyday things that were not taught to them as they were young.  I think the type of educational videos from the 1950's should come back and would be beneficial for e...

This is a beautiful blue dress gift for those who love the 50s! The pencil dress has medium long sleeves that do not cling to the arms and a zipper in the back. The front part of this outfit has a V-neck shape and has wrinkles on the fabric. This dress is in a blue color and has a fuzzy material. I notice that this outfit extends to the knees and hugs the hips. My grandmother used to have a dress just like this and she was so sad to have given this away. She loved wearing it all the time but as she got older it did not fit her anymore.

The 1950's was called the golden age of Capitalism as it was a period of unprecedented economic growth that benefited both the capitalists and workers, which resulted in bigger wages. This era was right after World War II and everyone was getting back on their feet financially and emotionally as well.  I am not too sure about mentally especially for men as they must of had some PTSD from the whole ordeal.  This opened up doors for people to find jobs and create some businesses with ease. People in this time period started watching television and listening to music all the time. Music artists, actresses, and actors were making lots of money during this time since people were into both of these.  This was also the time for the baby boom. This is a beautiful white and black cup gift for those who love the 50s! The cup has a silver top that shines in the light and has a clear covering. This has a nice curved U-shape and has a good print on the bottle. This fancy bottle has a great eye-catching logo and has the year 1951 labeled on it. The cup has the sentence, “limited edition” and looks stunning. My best friend has this same bottle in her cabinet, and she got this as a gift from her aunt. She always drinks her coffee in the morning in this cup.
