America's Most Loved Show

I Love Lucy is an American sitcom of the century in 1951.

It stared Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo, Desi Arnaz as Ricky Ricardo, Vivian Vance as Ethel Mertz, and William Frawley as Fred Mertz.

This show was watched by millions and across the world and was broadcasted by CBS.

One of the main characters Lucy is a funny and wacky wife of Ricky Ricardo. He was known as a Cuban bandleader.

They live in New York and Ricky tries to stay afloat for his family in show business to help as best as she can, but she can get into some pickles along the way.

Lucy and Ricky’s best friends Ethel and Fred who are also known as their landlords always come visit them and have a good time together.

I have seen many episodes where Ethel and Lucy are in messes, they get themselves into and sometimes their husbands have to dig them out of these situations.

In this show, later on Ricky and Lucy welcome a baby boy named little Ricky in 1953 and it was broadcasted on Television.

In these episodes they are in the black and white film and they have many weird but funny characters.

Later in the show’s run, the Ricardo’s and the Mertz’s move to Hollywood where Ricky becomes a big star.

The first ever episode was October 15, 1951 and the last ever episode aired May 6, 1957 with a total of 181 episodes combined.

Before Lucy and Desi went on the show, they married in 1940 and officially divorced in 1960. They had two children named Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr.

It was allegedly said that the reason I Love Lucy ended was because the writers had run dry and the marriage between Lucille and Desi had fallen apart.

I did notice that there was many shows produced in many years after this show ended such as The Lucy Show, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, We Love Lucy and Here’s Lucy.

What is amazing is how Lucille and Desi created their own company to produce I Love Lucy.

It was allegedly said that Lucille was the product of her demands and Desi’s ability to make them happen.

Black Colored 50’s Accessories for fifters

This a unique box of items that were worn in the 1950’s! I notice there is a pair of glasses and sunglasses. Along with three pairs of polka dot earrings and a silk scarf as well. At the left corner there is a black and white printed headband and a pair of gloves too. There is a total of eight items in this accessory box. My grandmother used to have many of these style of gloves in her closet. When she would show them to me as a child, she would smile so bright and tell me stories of how she got them.

Blue and Red Word Search Book

This is an awesome booklet for those who love the 50’s! It has many pages to keep your brain busy by searching for words with just your eyes. I noticed that is has yellow wording and an arrow indicating to open the book. The front page has labeled the 1950’s on it and the author has made sure to put their name on it. At the top right corner of the red/yellow square you see a star shape. My sister loves to do crossword puzzles and she has a collection of them in her closet. It reminds me of seeing her use them at her doctor’s visits.

Skintight White Lingerie for Those who Love the 50's

This is a sexy white lace lingerie piece for fifters! I notice that this type of clothing has a flower print and has an opening in the middle. This part is smooth and is without any substance on it. This piece has two straps on the side that are meant for tights and have metal at the top and bottom. The material is stretchy and is so adorable. My friend has lingerie clothing just like this one and when she wears this, she has a lot of confidence. She always tells me her boyfriend melts when she is in this piece.
