The World's Beauty Queen

Audrey Hepburn was born May 4, 1929 and died January 20, 1993.

She was a British actress and considered a humanitarian.

She was recognized as both a film and fashion icon in her time.

Hepburn was an actress from 1949 through 1989.

She then was a humanitarian from 1954 through 1992. It was said she had two spouses.

One was named Mel Ferrer she married him 1954, had her two sons named Sean and Luca Ferrer, and divorced him in 1968.

She then married Andrea Dotti in 1969and divorced him in 1982.

After having these two spouses in her lifetime she never married again but did have a relationship with a man named Robert Wolders until she died.

When she was younger, she spent most of her childhood in Belgium, England and the Netherlands. She studied ballet.

Audrey first started to be a chorus girl in musical productions and then appeared on small films.

She rose to stardom in the romantic comedy called, “the Roman Holiday.” She stared in this movie in 1953.

For this movie, she was the first actress to win an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA Award for a single performance.

After this movie, she stared so many more and won many more awards in her lifespan.

What shocked me to find out was how Hepburn was thirty-one years old when playing the character Holly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

She was playing a girl to be nineteen years old when her character meets Paul. Audrey still looked so young in this movie.

It was known that she wore custom made dresses by Givenchy who was the founder of Hubert De Givenchy.

When not in the screen she wore pedal pushers and simple, unadorned tops into an art. Her style moments made history, she was inducted to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.

Black Colored 50’s Accessories for fifters

This a unique box of items that were worn in the 1950’s! I notice there is a pair of glasses and sunglasses. Along with three pairs of polka dot earrings and a silk scarf as well. At the left corner there is a black and white printed headband and a pair of gloves too. There is a total of eight items in this accessory box. My grandmother used to have many of these style of gloves in her closet. When she would show them to me as a child, she would smile so bright and tell me stories of how she got them.

Blue and Red Word Search Book

This is an awesome booklet for those who love the 50’s! It has many pages to keep your brain busy by searching for words with just your eyes. I noticed that is has yellow wording and an arrow indicating to open the book. The front page has labeled the 1950’s on it and the author has made sure to put their name on it. At the top right corner of the red/yellow square you see a star shape. My sister loves to do crossword puzzles and she has a collection of them in her closet. It reminds me of seeing her use them at her doctor’s visits.

Skintight White Lingerie for Those who Love the 50's

This is a sexy white lace lingerie piece for fifters! I notice that this type of clothing has a flower print and has an opening in the middle. This part is smooth and is without any substance on it. This piece has two straps on the side that are meant for tights and have metal at the top and bottom. The material is stretchy and is so adorable. My friend has lingerie clothing just like this one and when she wears this, she has a lot of confidence. She always tells me her boyfriend melts when she is in this piece.
