James Dean is a well-known American actor during the 1950’s and many women fawned over him including those in their 70’s.
He is remembered as a cultural icon of teenage
disillusionment and social estrangement as this all started when the film, he
stared in came out called, Rebel Without a Cause.
Personal details about this actor is he was an Aquarius, born
February 8, 1931 in Marion, Indiana USA, died on September 30, 1955 at the age
of 24.
Dean was killed in Cholame, California, when a Porsche he
was driving hit a Ford Tudor sedan at an intersection.
He was 5’8 in height his nickname was Jimmy Dean. James
trademark was the red jacket, white T-shirt, and blue jeans from Rebel Without
a Cause.
His most famous quote was, “Gratification come in the doing,
not in the results.”
As an actor he was nominated for 2 Oscars, 7 wins, and 2
nominations. His mother was named Mildred Marie and his father was named Winton
A.
It is was known that his mother died when he was nine and
afterwards was raised on a farm by his aunt and uncle in Indiana.
After attending school, he moved to New York to pursue
acting and he was featured in a few roles.
James most priced role was of course Rebel Without Cause in which
his image was that of a red-jacketed teenager named Jim Stark.
Lots of people loved this actor as he represented rebellion
and to stick up for himself, he did not take kindly to others pushing his
boundaries.
He was viewed as a man with a sexy wounded stare and a bad boy
reputation. James was a guy boys wanted to be and girls wanted to be his
girlfriend.
Dean was a symbol of those at the time who wished to go
against their parents values. As he questioned adult values and openly defied
his parents.
At the times there was many rumors that he was bisexual or
homosexual by the public even though he was engaged to Pier Angeli and dated
Liz Sheridan in his life span.
It is worth noting that Liz Sheridan published a book on her
and deans relationship titled, Dizzy & Jimmy: My Life with James Dean: A
Love Story.
