5 Television Shows from the 1950's I Love

1) I Love Lucy

This show always came on in the middle of the night and when I woke up as a child any episode that was on the TV screen comforted me. I love the humor and childlike vibe it has.

2) Tales of Wells Fargo

This series is special to me as my grandpa and I watch it together every month. The main character Jim was great about justice and has a good heart.

3) Cheyenne

This program I found randomly one day and I got hooked on the story line. I do have to say I have a crush on Clint Walker and I like that they included Native Americans as well.

4) The Huckleberry Hound Show

This series was a fun show to watch as a child I loved all the careers he had and how positive he was as well. It made me imagine what I would be when I grew up.

5) The Lone Ranger

This program is one of my recent favorites as Lone Ranger and his friend named Tonto help the helpless and win against all evil. I like all the intense action in this series.

Marilyn Monroe Mask 50s

This is a stunning Marilyn mask for those who love the 1950’s! The mask has a quote directly from when this famous actress was alive and has her signature red lip. They made this item out of cotton and has a black background. They included her bleach blonde hair and with winged eyeliner. My mother has this exact same mask and she wears it everywhere. It reminds me of when she got her Marilyn soap bottle that she got in her bathroom. She loves all items that consist of this actress.

She has a blue hat, long V-neck striped pattern shirt, blue skirt, clipped tights, and black and white shoes. The background on this art has two clouds, symmetrical trees lined up and a lake. What I noticed next was the big fish and the log she is sitting on. From this poster she looks as if she is fishing and what is she fishing for? I would say fish, but others would disagree. This woman has bright red lipstick and curly hair as well. I imagine this art in a man cave since it gives off the vibe of sexual appeal. I do not want to categorize so I think some women would love this poster in their home as well.

What Was Valentine's Day Like in the 1950s

Many people in this era loved Valentine's Day not only because was it is a fun holiday but it is a celebration of love! Everything was decked out for this fun day with Valentine creations such as small decorations, valentine cards, hanging hearts in store windows, and more! You saw lots of couples walking the streets holding hands, families spending time together, and store owners with smiles on their faces for obtaining lots of sales. Many children in school made Valentine's cards to give out to their classmates and created big posters of a baby cupids to take home. Celebrity pinup girls were posed for this special holiday with hearts in the background or wearing having hearts on their clothes. Marylin Monroe in particular did a Valentine's Day photo shoot with two big hearts as her backdrop. She was wearing high-waisted shorts, a small crop top with strings, boots, and a cute hat.
