You can find information on celebrities in this search engine such as their birthdays, pictures, etc. What major events happened and what this era is known for. You can find anything on the 50’s with google.

2) Facebook

This app is known for many great groups and this can be an advantage for some who want to know lots of details on the 1950’s. They have fashion, makeup, vibes, tutorials, culture-based groups. You can follow celebrity pages such as Bettie Page, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Natalie Wood, and more. Many can follow view posts of interesting facts or discoveries from the 50’s. This is a good source to chat with others in groups and learn lots of good information in the comments.

      This source you can find a lot of videos of people in this era and how their lifestyles were. Although you cannot relate to some of things they were going through at the time you can get a sense on how to dress like them, do your makeup like how they did, and experience their genuine emotions during this time period.  What I love to look for on YouTube is vloggers going on tours to see celebrities homes from the 1950’s such on see where they grew up in and the places they visited as they got older.

      This app is a great tool to use when searching for details on the 50’s. You can find stunning pictures and videos of people dressed in clothes from this time period. Stumble upon celebrities from today dressed in 1950’s outfits such as Harry Styles, Jasmine Chiswell, Katy Perry, Zooey Deschanel, and more! View some art pieces that was created during this time and getting to know the history as well.

      This site you can find retro art, girl dress patterns, vintage glamour, vintage art, Hollywood actresses and actors, etc. You can view shopping ideas and look for an aesthetic you wish to find. There are a lot of outfit ideas that you can choose from within the 1950’s range for both women and men. I personally love to look for wallpapers for my phone from the 50’s era, they are so beautiful to view.

  During the 1950’s, more than half a million people in the United States were in mental asylums and lots of them were in there for life.  At one point, there was not even enough beds for all the patients being admitted. These places were so widely supported and were deemed as helpful for those with mental illnesses. At least by societies standards.
